I haven't posted much about my girls lately. It seems like I'm always posting about what we're doing, and not as much about who they are.
They change and grow so quickly. I use our blog like a scrapbook (since I don't have the self discipline to actually scrapbook), so I want to remember what they're like right now.
Maya
2 years, 3 months old

Maya is such a sweetheart. I call her my "little mommy" because she is so nurturing. If one of her sisters is crying or upset, she tried to comfort them by rubbing their back or giving hugs. I was crying the other day (just a hormonal, bad day kinda thing) and she was so concerned. Maya sat with me and kept giving me hugs and kisses to make me feel better. She loves her baby dolls--especially feeding and rocking them.
Maya has picked up potty training like a champ. She not only goes poop and pee in the potty, she empties it into the big potty and flushes, all by herself. She gets one M&M every time she goes potty, and I'm pretty sure she's working the system to get as many "M's" as possible.
Maya loves books. She'll sit and 'study' a book, looking at it over and over. She's great at finding things, whether it's an 'I Spy' book, the remote, daddy's wallet, or keys.
Maya knows almost all of her ABC's (capital letters) and counts like this, "One, two, three, eight, nine, ten!". We're still working on colors, she thinks everything is green or orange.
Maya tends to be easygoing and very independent.
Favorite activities: anything involving water (swimming, washing potatoes, splashing), coloring, reading, swinging at the park, watching Elmo, Bert, and Ernie, telling momma "Maya do OWN!", and helping with Olivia
Gianna
2 years, 3 months

Gianna is such a snuggler. She like to be touched, held, hugged. Gianna loves to 'help' with anything. She just loves being around us and doing anything we are doing. She is great at getting the baby a pacifier, burp cloth, blanket, whatever. She likes putting dishes in the dishwasher and helping mommy cook (this tends to be messy).
Gianna like to run and jump. She'll jump over and off anything, flip off of the couch, swing on handles/rails. She is usually shy when first meeting people, but after she gets used to someone, she loves them forever.
She is not doing great with potty training--she still wears a pullup most of the time. She just doesn't like that potty. But she always cheers loudly for Maya when Maya pees, "Yay, Maya pee potty!"
Gianna gets really excited about things. Lately, when you tell her something exciting (like we're going to the park, or church, or outside), she will smile and gasp, like she just can't believe how wonderful life is.
We joke that Gigi is 'handsy'. She has to touch everything. Everything. Especially if it's something she isn't supposed to touch!
Favorite activities: playing with balls, running, jumping, wrestling, watching Elmo, reading, pretending to 'cook' mommy food in her play kitchen, getting in the way, and touching everything
Olivia
3 months old

She's an angel.
Olivia eats, burps, sleeps, poops, smiles, and coos. She is such a content baby. She smiles and coos all the time and loves seeing her big sisters. She is wearing 6-9 month clothing--she's a chunker! This girl has rolls upon rolls.
Olivia loves her swing and bouncy seat. She sleeps great in the car and pretty much anywhere!
I'm trying hard to absorb and appreciate each day with my girls--trying to be present.
As a wise woman at my church once told me, "When you are home with children, the days are long but the years are short".
