Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all the momma's out there. You work hard and deserve a break!
Being a mom is definitely a wonderful, amazing thing, but it can also be one of the hardest AND grossest jobs ever.

I think Mother's day is great--I really do. But each Mother's day my heart goes out to the people who hurt on that day. Whether it's the loss of a mother, the loss of a child, a miscarriage, infertility, a failed adoption--it hurts. It's a reminder of what was, what could have been, and what may never be. Just remember--you aren't alone. You aren't forgotten. You are dearly loved and acknowledged by your heavenly Father.

We had a rather uneventful Mother's day. Church, nap, and park. It was beautiful outside--finally, Spring is warming up!

Last week, Brooks and Gigi went to the store and came back with some pretty petunias. So on Thursday, I took all the girls outside to plant them in pots. It was a messy process and the girls weren't too excited about the dirt. They are such girly-girls. But they learned that plants need sun and water to grow, and they were excited to go outside today and see how their flowers are growing and 'feed' the flowers some water.

Maya was saying "yuck-dirt!" while I took this picture

Here are some pictures from our fun at the park yesterday.
Notice poor Olivia in the background...just sleeping in her car seat. She's such a good baby that we almost forget about her!
Here's Olivia in an outfit from one of her great-grandmas---it's a 3-6 month outfit and it fits her. At 6 weeks old. She's a chunker.
For the past few nights, Olivia has been doing a GREAT job sleeping. She slept for 11 hours last night. I love sleep.
