So, the month of March is just a few short days away.
This month is very significant in our life. Here's why:
1. Maya and Gigi will turn 3 this month! Whoa!
2. Olivia will be 1 year old this month! Double whoa! Where does the time go?
3. We are throwing a birthday party for all three girls. It's gonna be a blast!
4. We are officially done at our church on March 31st (the twins' birthday).
5. We may find out where we are moving this month (I hope!)
6. We need to be packing up our house this month
7. This month there are a lot of family birthdays, including my favorite sister's birthday
My life is full of so many unknowns right now. I have NO CLUE where God is leading us. I don't even know if we will have a place to live after March 31st. It's a little stressful.
I'm going to pretend like my life is currently stable and just tell you what my little crazy girls are doing.

Maya and Gigi are blowing my mind lately with their development. It seems like they are jumping by leaps and bounds every week.
(The girls were really annoyed by me taking these pictures. Gianna would barely smile, so the picture isn't great.)

They just started tracing things, like letters. So they are tracing letters I draw and learning to write the letters on their own.
Their drawings have suddenly moved from scribbles to people. They draw a head, eyes, mouth, two legs, eyebrows, hair, and ears. It's like they've just realized that what they draw can mean something.
Here are some recent examples of artwork. I'm going to start taking pictures of their drawings to keep, instead of having hundreds of pieces of paper.
Maya's Watercolor

Here are some people...

Practicing writing Q...and drawing people.

Maya says the red person is Daddy. I see the resemblance. Also, the arches are rainbows.

They talk all the time and their vocabulary is pretty good. They now ask me 'why?' about everything. Maya's current favorite saying is "we'll figure this out". They ask everyone about their favorite color and Maya always says her favorite color is green. Gianna's favorite color is orange.
The girls want to help with everything. They are learning to help load the dishwasher and other little chores. They tend to make more of a mess than really help, but I'm hoping that starting now will pay off when they get older.
They LOVE reading time at the library. The girls sit and listen to the story (with some prompting) and play really well with the other kids. They have just started going to the preschool class during children's church and the teacher said they do great.
We talk frequently about the importance of listening and obeying.
The twins play together all the time. Currently, they like playing baby. One girl will be the baby, the other will be the mommy. It's really cute. They like to pretend to be animals (especially cats and frogs).
They still like Elmo, but they like other shows, too. We don't have many stations, so we mostly watch PBS. They love Word World, Super Why, Sesame Street, and The Cat in the Hat. They can sit through a movie now and they LOVE Tangled and anything Veggie Tales.
I'm just so proud of them. They really are good girls.
The twins are excited about moving because I told them we can get a fish when we move to a new house. They want to name the fish Dorothy. I'm hoping the move won't be too hard on them. Right now they seem excited about it--but maybe that's just because of Dorothy!
