Updates and Craziness

I'm not doing very well keeping our family blog updated.  Life has a way of rushing...I can't believe it's the middle of October already!

Seriously, the days and weeks just seem to fly by around here.   We are busy!  And not busy in a bad way...you know, the kind of busy where you're running around like crazy for no good reason.  We're busy with so many good things, so many blessings, and such wonderful people in our lives.

The twin are thriving in preschool.  They love it, although they still don't know ANYONE'S name in their class.  I ask them almost every day who they play with, and they say, "a nice girl" or "some boy", but they never learn names.  Ha!

Their teacher is really sweet and the girls come home from school with stories about learning new songs, going to their first book fair, and playing with friends.   They even got their first 'school pride' shirts.  The girls are Central Montcalm Hornets, since the preschool is the 4 year old program in the local elementary school here.

Olivia has started to enjoy her time with mommy while the girls are at school.  All four of the girls and I usually walk to the preschool, drop off the twins, head back home, put Jorja to bed, and then Olivia and I have lunch.

Olivia is potty training and doing great, except for pooping.  She poops in her undies EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.  I'm going crazy here!  It's so, so gross.  She even has special new Minnie Mouse undies from her Mimi and she can't have them until she poops in the potty.  It's not working.

Jorja Hope is growing like a weed.  She had a doctor's appointment last week and is around 16 pounds.  She is just the cutest little thing.  She adores her sisters and they love to talk to her and dance for her.  She laughs and laughs when they dance!

So, besides our four beautiful, crazy, wild, emotional, loving, sweet girls....we've been busy with church activities.  We had our annual 'Harvest Hoedown' this past weekend.  We line dance, have lots of great food, go on a hay ride, and watch fireworks.  The girls love it!  We were lucky to have my sister, Kim, here visiting this weekend.  It was so nice to have another adult around here!

Here are some pictures....first one is of Jorja and her buddy "Mr. Jeff" (that's what my girls all call him).  He's so great with kids and even help out in children's church teaching preschoolers.  I think there is a serious lack of men in churches who are willing to teach. It's sad.  So, props to Mr. Jeff!

Me and my sister!

Olivia, Gianna, and Maya...enjoying the yummy Harvest Hoedown grub!

Doing the chicken dance! Ha!  We also had line dancing lessons at the church before the Hoedown for anyone who wanted to learn.  I love line dancing...so fun!

Another thing keeping me busy is MOPS!  MOPS stands for 'mothers of preschoolers' and last year, I desperately wanted to be a part of group like that, and there was nothing around here.  So myself and a group of ladies at church started a MOPS group.

It's been going great.  We have had 3 meetings...17 moms at the first two, and 18 at the one yesterday.  We have a TON of kids, because most of those moms bring around 2 kids.  So I've been busy planning MOPS, finding child care workers, and doing fundraising for MOPS.

Brooks' 16 year old cousin was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemo.  Our family hasn't been super healthy (mostly due to preschool, i think), so we've been limited on how much we can help.  We don't want to get anyone sick.  So we're praying and praying.

Here are a few more random pictures my sister took while she was here.  I think she always gets great pictures of my girls!

Miss Jorja Hope....4.5 months old!  Such a little joy!

Aunt Kim and Olivia at the Hoedown

Maya and Gianna...excited to dance and go on a hay ride!

Olivia...waiting with Aunt Kim for the bus to come and bring her sisters home!

Aunt Kim has a cool tye-dyed shirt that girls have always loved...so she made them one of their own!  The girls love them!

Yep, that's about right.  Aunt Kim teaching Olivia how to be naughty.

Halloween is right around the corner!  The girls are so excited that it's fall.  They have their first field trip to the pumpkin patch on Friday!
