Summer Adventure Part 1

I wanted to start this blog post by saying that today is my favorite person in the whole world's birthday!!!  Happy birthday, Brooks!  You're my best friend and favorite person to spend time with...I can't believe we're so old.  :)

I thought I would do a few posts about our summer adventure in Sault Sainte Marie, MI.

The day we moved, we had some awesome friends help us.  The girls went over to spend the day with Miss Debbie, Chloe, and baby Caylee.  Brooks and I stayed home to finish packing, load the trailer, and clean the house.
We had about 10 men show up to help us move...it was a huge blessing!  We moved most of our belongings into two storage units.  We packed just what we would need to spend a few weeks "on vacation" in Sault Sainte Marie  (little did we know that four months later, we would still be here!).

On our way from Debbie's house to see our totally empty house and wait for Daddy to get home from taking the last load of stuff to the storage unit.

Four tired little girls in our empty living room...waiting for Daddy so we can go up north!

We were so tired by the time we crossed the Mackinaw Bridge.  My wonderful mother in law and father in law had gone up earlier and had our new house all ready for us...clean sheets on the beds, milk in the fridge, bread on the counter, and hugs to welcome us.

We've had a LOT of visitors since moving here.  SSM is a pretty cool place to visit...in the upper peninsula, you can visit the Soo Locks, Tahquamanon Falls, Lake Superior....it's an awesome place to go.

Our new backyard....9 acres of trees, grass, garden, and four wheeler fun
Our first visitors were Aunt Leah, Uncle Andy, and our cousins.  It was so great to see them...we were thrilled they made the long drive from Iowa to come visit!

At the fountain...Maya, Olivia, Eva, Jorja, Violet, Gianna, and Addie

That's a lot of little Sayer girls!  They were supposed to all look at the fountain, but 2 year olds don't like to cooperate.

We went to the Soo locks, the fudge shop, and the fountain with our cousins!  The girls all slept in the same room (except for Jorja and Violet).  They were so noisy we had to separate them...they all love playing and spending time together.

So glad you are back to blogging and now have internet. My husband is a student pastor down here in Texas and we have three littles. Your blog has been such an encouragement to me especially when I went through some baby blues and read about your twins. Praying the Lord leads ya'll to His perfect position however long it takes Him to prepare it for ya'll.
