Torch Lake

This past week our little family had the privilege of going on vacation up to Michigan. We went and visited our Aunt, Uncle, and cousins on Torch Lake. If you've never heard of Torch Lake, it's amazing! It's the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world, according to National Geographic (at least that's what I've been told). Anyways, it was awesome to see our family....and to go swimming, boating, kayaking, and jet skiing.

On our way up to Traverse City, we met up with Brooks' Mom, Dad, and Grandpa as they were driving back to Portage.

We spent a lot of time in the water...it was so relaxing.

Grandma Shelley, this picture is for you! We think G and Maya look a little alike. G has curly hair just like Maya's...and big brown eyes :) I couldn't get Maya to smile (it was almost nap time)...but she did give G a kiss!

Here are a few pictures of the lake...the pictures don't do it justice, trust me.
One of the days we were up in Michigan, we went to a little town nearby and did some shopping. One of the stores had a cute little garden area. The girls loved walking on the path and sitting in the big chairs.
We were getting ready to leave and the girls insisted on sitting in these chairs again...they were not happy about leaving!
We had so much fun in Michigan....I'm ready to go back. :)


And finally, here's a picture of the girls' new favorite toy! The only bad thing about this toy is that they insist on throwing out any laundry that is currently in the basket.
